Applications for Grant Program Regions 1-3 Opens on April 30
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The William G. Pomeroy Foundation will officially begin accepting 2018 applications for fully funded Historic Roadside Markers to commemorate history in several New York counties (Program Regions 1-3) beginning on Monday, April 30.
On that date, grant application materials will become available for the following New York State counties: Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens and Richmond (Region 1); Nassau and Suffolk (Region 2); and Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester (Region 3).
Letters of Intent for Regions 1-3 are due by Monday, June 11, and the final application deadline is Saturday, July 7. Municipalities and charitable 501(c)3 organizations in New York State are welcome to apply for the Historic Roadside Marker Grants. Local historical organizations or municipal historians will often apply for the grant on behalf of property owners.
