Cincinnatus Area Heritage Society Historic Marker Unveilings
The Cincinnatus Area Heritage Society will host a dedication ceremony for three new roadside markers on Saturday, Aug. 17. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Heritage Hall where attendees will then proceed to the first marker, which commemorates the site of the Reid Ice Cream factory (Borden Company milk plant). Attendees will then return to Heritage Hall where a marker commemorating the building will be unveiled, as well as another marker recognizing the inclusion of the Cincinnatus Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. There will be a raffle drawing for a quilt at the end of the event.
