Felice Cohn Women’s Suffrage Marker Dedication
A new historic marker on the National Votes for Women Trail (NVWT) will be unveiled during a dedication ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The marker commemorates suffrage leader Felice Cohn, a lawyer and co-founder of the Nevada Equal Franchise Society. Visit the Felice Cohn marker listing on our digital map for more about her life and legacy. The unveiling ceremony will take place beginning at 1 p.m. at the Nevada State Capitol.
The NVWT, a project of the National Collaborative for Women’s History Sites (NCWHS), identifies the many sites that were integral to the suffrage movement. This marker series commemorates the people, places and things instrumental to women gaining the right to vote in the United States in 1920 with the passing of the 19th Amendment.
