Historic Marker Dedications for Patriot Burials
The associations for the Adams State Road Cemetery, Union Cemetery and Adams Rural Cemetery in Jefferson County, New York, are hosting three historic marker unveilings on Saturday, Oct. 5. The markers are part of a special series commemorating patriots of the American Revolution: those who fought in or were involved with the struggle for American independence. Led by the Thousand Islands Chapter of the Empire State Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, this initiative will have historic markers placed throughout Jefferson County.
The first unveiling on Saturday will take place at Adams State Road Cemetery beginning at 10 a.m. Participants will then travel to Union Cemetery located at 12792 US-11, Adams Center, N.Y., where a second unveiling will take place. The last stop of the ceremony will be at Adams Rural Cemetery, 22 S. Main St, Adams, N.Y.
