Jervis Library and Jervis Homestead Marker Dedications
The Jervis Public Library will host an unveiling ceremony for two new historic roadside markers located at the library property on Tuesday, Aug. 20. One marker commemorates the library’s inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. The other marker pays tribute to the Jervis Homestead, an engineer for the Erie Canal who made his home in Rome, N.Y. The dedications will take place on the front lawn of the library beginning at 11 a.m.
