In December 1842, the Trustees of School District Number Three in the Town of Lockport, NY purchased property on Chestnut Ridge Road to build a schoolhouse for the area. The stone schoolhouse, built circa 1843, was used as a school until 1956, when area schools were consolidated into the enlarged Lockport City School District. The building was sold to the Town of Lockport, and continued to be host to community events, served as a polling place for elections, and as of 2021, now used as a town office.
