After the original Clarkson Academy was destroyed by fire, a new school building was constructed around 1853. This historic building served as a high school and School No.2 until 1956. After sitting abandoned for several decades the Clarkson Historical Society worked for ten years, between 2003-2013, to restore the former school to its original beauty.
