Doctors Allen S. Russell and Elisha R. Wright lived together here in 1860. The elder doctor, Wright, was born in 1801 and died in 1874. Russell was born in 1834. He served as a Surgeon during the Civil War in Hardin’s Division, 22 Army Corps and later as Marion town justice and an New York State Assemblyman. He later moved to Michigan where he died in 1912.
