Around the year 1910, the first Spanish and Cuban vacationers began visiting the Town of Plattekill, NY. In 1913, a hotel was established for Latino and Spanish clientele (however a secondary source from the 1960s puts this date at 1914). By 1920 there were more than a dozen. These resorts featured Latin food, music, and the culture for their Hispanic clientele.
